Pink Bunny Orchid - Eriochilus scaber subsp. scaber

A small orchid only a few centimetres high, but forming mass displays after summer bushfires when they can carpet the ground. These displays only last the one season, with the following year maybe producing a handful of plants and the year after that, none at all. They grow in raised sandy/peat habitat in and around ephemeral swamps and along drainage areas between July and September.
